Tellers without borders

Stories of hope and joy: Storytelling from many lands

Tellers Without BordersTellers without Borders is a growing network of professional storytellers throughout Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

We tell stories from many lands to bring hope and joy to people who are experiencing stress in their lives..

Tellers without borders is headed in Ireland by storyteller/writer Brendan Nolan.

Traditional folktales and stories told by one human to another can be key to reaching people who have retreated from traumatic experiences.

Stories gives comfort, support, and recall an inner sense of self often mislaid under the weight of torment.

Tellers Without Borders wider idea is of storytelling as an integrating and healing art in the community.

By telling traditional and modern tales from other's home countries, stories are made accessible, so counteracting in some measure a sense of alienation and cultural isolation.

Moreover, basic affinities between the traditional heritage of different cultures can be recognised in told stories.

In Dublin, we have 2-hour monthly sessions, on the second Friday, where we invite adults to come and share story or to just listen to stories told. Inter-generational participation is welcomed and encouraged.

Our venue is Áras Chrónáin Irish Cultural Centre, Watery Lane, off Orchard Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
